not really a shock, didn't he test positive a while ago? im more surprised he wasn't already banned
Is GW1516 really worth the risk? If you’re going to cheat, cheat right. The ban is the same.
Do you honestly think he wasn't taking every ped under the sun? He'd only take some SARM that turns every cell of your body into a multitude of tumors, with dubious benefits?
He should have been banned for his obviously PED-fueled flailing since 2012. A complete eyesore for the.sport. He had tons of whereabouts violations in the.past which got shoved under the rug. Riddance
Yes, that. Dopers typically take a bunch of drugs, not just one. Most get away with it too, and those few who slip up, get caught with only 1 or 2 drugs in them.
Not to suggest that he wasn't led to or supplied the substance by his support network, but SARMs are relatively easy to purchase online along with general guidelines for implementation. It's reasonably plausible that he could have found and used it without others' knowledge
He needs to expose his network. Who provided him with that peptide and how to use it?
It’s a legal peptide to buy in many countries , literally have high school kids ordering it in the mail box to their houses for research reasons . It’s much easier to get than steroids

On one hand, yes I agree. On the other hand, SARMs are so easy to get. There's teenagers taking them on TikTok and telling you where to buy them. You can just google them. A lot are sold as "research chemicals" and not labelled for human consumption. Same way drug analogues and things like synthetic phenethylamines are sold.
Surely it would be better to just go train at altitude and run 120 mpw with good nutrition, physio etc rather than putting untested carcinogenic drugs in your body?!
It’s carcinogenic for lab mice. Not saying it’s not extremely dangerous or risky to use based on those studies , but it hasn’t been established as being that for humans.

Proof? Are whereabout violations published? I'd love to publicize them if that's the case.

That's some serious Sh!t. Gives mice cancer almost overnight.

Pardon my ignorance but why are high school kids ordering and using what I presume is an endurance PED?

Teens are buying more of the Sarms which help to build muscle, such as LGD and Ostarine. The compound Amos had In his urine is more popular with the bodybuilding community. But they are all pretty much available from the same retailers, because the peptide “companies” have figured out the market and people just buy them all for research purposes. I know that in the US, as long as someone orders these compounds for research purposes and not for human use (no other explanation currently legally needed) , it’s within the bends of the federal law.

I knew something odd was happening when he wasn't entered in the 800m in his home country of Botswana, which basically all athletes from Botswana were entered.

The compound Amos had in his sample, GW1516, isn't that popular with the bodybuilding community.
The current trend is that LGD, MK & Ostarine (SARMs) are popular with the younger lifters at the gyms while TRT/HRT shows favor with the older lifters.
GW1516 is an endurance drug - it was originally touted as "exercise in a pill. It had some remarkable effects in the mice studies but it was also shown to cause cancer in some of the mice:
Exercise can increase peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-δ (PPARδ) expression in skeletal muscle. PPARδ regulates muscle metabolism and reprograms muscle fibre types to enhance running endurance. This study utilized m...
You really have to wonder what athlete would take this with such a long glow time. Just one 15mg pill can be detected in the urine for up to 40 days. Lol
Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-δ (PPARδ) agonists are the drug candidates with potential performance-enhancing properties, and therefore their illegitimate use in sports should be controlled. To simulate the metab...

Back in around 2008 when it first came on the scene there was a few cyclist and speed walkers that popped for it.
