College was awhile ago for him. 2 meter improvement is not uncommon from college.
How many cents do they give about throws either way? At least with baseballs and footballs, someone will watch.
For you foreigners, we can have a soccer ball kicking event. I would actually like to know how far a soccer ball can be kicked.
For you triggered idiots who just found out jav is thrown over the shoulder only because the rules require it, grow up! Can't vote it false. I win again, don't rub it in on yourself.
I find it really amazing that you can state someone is guilty of PED use without evidence because of your gut feeling, while staunchly defending someone as being innocent going so far as to create a go fund me page despite the incontrovertible evidence of their guilt.
Seems reasonable.
I Wonder why he writes track n field when really its only field...
You must be new to letsrun.
I'm so waiting to see what this is about.
not that i agree or disagree with your premise, but a 73m hammer thrower told me he got 10% extra distance from roids after throwing 67m. A few other throwers I knew also got around 10%.
But who knows given yearly improvement can be caused by many factors such as technique and a better weight training program.
He went to Great Oak high school and was the CA state champ his senior year in the shot.
Maybe the Italian federation found out he's American?
Honestly, what's with kids growing up in the US, benefiting from the advantages that come from it, going to US colleges and then suddenly declare their allegiance to another country?
I wish that I could like this again
Maybe he will proclaim just how dirty track currently is .
What have two approx 22.50 m throws already in event this year
when it would be around max throw for year , 5 years ago.
Look at that meet in Zambia yesterday , getting fast sprinters from obscure countries never used to there
what a Kenyan women running low 50 for 400 m when never much interest before.
all these teenage sprinters much faster than ones 5 years ago .
You know that , something is definitely up with new dope in track since 2019 -2020.
These two new peptides , one being Mots-c for endurance and the other for speed /power.
they have totally taken over track
in most of events ,
one of them being shot putt
Clown.
TraQanon chimes in. The shot putters are the same names from 5 years ago. So now they just started doping I guess?
The meet was in Botswana. The sprinter was from Zambia.
Are you saying there’s never been interest for Kenyan sprinters? News to their 4x400 teams of the past and 400 hurdlers. Yes it is a development that a Kenyan woman is a top sprinter, but these things take place over time.
The teen sprinters globally all on your mysterious peptide from Knighton to Shawnti Jackson to Brahe-Peterson to Asinga to Tebogo I guess.
Re: Kenyan sprinters, they also had a bronze medalist in the men’s 400 at Barcelona ‘92 and Stuttgart ‘93. Just because it’s not what they’re most famous for doesn’t mean there’s no interest.
Actually the farthest throws with a javelin are when it's thrown when a person is spinning around like they do when throwing a discus.
But that technique was banned because a throw could go into the stands and a net wouldn't stop a javelin like it would stop a discus.

A 20-21m guy typically won't even sniff the podium against the top U.S. shotputters. But if you have dual citizenship somewhere and want to stay in the sport after college and make some money doing it, why wouldn't you do this? Former North Rockland/South Carolina alum Eric Favors is the current Irish national record holder in the shot. He's not likely ever taking a medal away from Crouser or Kovacs in international competition. But he's still in the game, competing on a level that works for him, traveling the world and presumably having a good time doing it. Nothing wrong with that at all.
Does he identify as white or latino?
Why would anyone want to watch people throw objects from sports hardly any out side North America plays?
It's called opportunity and the ability to make far more money and have better recognition overseas. American society doesn't give 2 cents about track & field.
It has to be something related to doping or missing tests. He just liked and responded "100%" to a comment that read
"This should enrage people. The testing protocols are supposed to create fair competition and restore public trust in the sport. It fails both. This is an injustice and and as a lifelong track fan, makes me hate the sport."
I'm curious to see what this will be about.
