Drake University got a new coach (Jay Koloseus?) sometime in the past several years (looks like 2017 he started and had more of a role in 2019), and they've had a few guys come through recently to be top 8 in the NCAA including NCAA runner-up this indoor season in Isaac Basten and then before him Adam Fogg. If you have one guy get fast out of nowhere maybe you just got a diamond in the rough, but two doesn't seem like a coincidence in a short time period of being coach for a few years. I'm not overly impressed with the big name university coaches who get a bunch of 4:00-4:07 high schoolers and turn a couple of them into 3:56-3:58 guys. I'm impressed with someone who turns multiple guys north of 4:10 into 3:57 or better which is what he's done recently.
