This boys’ 3200 could be a landmark race for U.S. high school running, given the number of kids I can realistically imagine running under 8:40: Burns, Hansen, Kipyego, Birnbaum, Simmons.
Plus an outside chance of Irene Riggs going sub-9:40 - I’m here for it.
I am extremely eager to witness Riggs' performance, particularly since she has only competed in a single individual race in an outdoor setting this season.

my daughter is in a neighboring state and has only competed once outdoors as well. Indoor nationals just finished up buddy.

Yes, the outdoor season is just beginning. In fact, my son has only competed once outdoors since indoors wrapped up. Riggs typically starts competing in mid-April. It's worth noting that despite the limited number of races, Riggs has already clocked a 4:50 time in her outdoor campaign, which is an impressive feat. I am eager to see how she performs is all I'm saying.

40.28 by Granada Hills (Coleman , Stanley , Martin , Smith) equals the 1997 mark by the 1997 Muir team anchored by Obea Moore (fans may remember that Muir's "B" team finished runner-up in 40.90).
Mia Brahe-Pedersen with a new wind legal PR of 11.17. Previous best was 11.25. She ran a 11.09 wind-aided. Marion Jones HS PR was 11.14 and only two runners have ever broken 11.10 in HS with legal wind.
