it won't be just burns that breaks 8:40. this field is very stacked, i looked over the roster. I wouldn't be suprised if everyone breaks 9 here.

What's the deal with L&L bailing on HS-only competition? Do they think they're too good for HSers now and focusing on these pro meets only?

Their goal is fast times. They believe that the best way to run fast times is to run against pros, and also to run only a few meets.
the thing is that the 3200 is an exclusive high school event. so if you want to 3200 record you would have to compete with only high schoolers which is great in my opinion. No going to a "pro" meet to get it done.

Not true. Lex and Leo want to break the 2 mile record. They can run against pros in a 2 mile race and set up a timer at 3200.
then they will own the 2 mile record. not the 3200 record. german fernandez did the same thing. running with the pros in a 2 mile is a different record in most peoples books. idc what people think but a 3200 record is an exclusive high school race. german fernandez had the 3200 meter record of 8:35 until it was broken by salhman 8:33

It is simply not fair that some high schools have the opportunity / connections / money to run with pros to get a national record. Thank god no pros run the 3200.

2 miles is longer than 3200. And the 2 mile record is faster than the 3200 record. Running faster than 8:29 in the 2 mile is more impressive than running faster than 8:33 in the 3200.

I understand what you are getting at. But in the record books the 3200 also show that the 2 mile is not a recognized mark as an official NFHS record. While german fernandez 8:34, and salhman 8:33 was.
Lex and Leo don't care what NFHS claims the record is. They are going after the fastest 2 mile time ever run which is 8:29.
thats fine and i hope they can get the new 2 mile record. but they won't have the 3200 meter record
Newbury Park is not running Arcadia? Are they not allowed?

I’ll take Regnier. Ran a 1:17.52i 600 in January and looked pretty good running 1:49 at NBIN. Could see him going under 1:48 this Spring.
Don't sleep on Carter Cutting
