Maybe. But considering she had to solo it passing traffic and the fact that the track did not seem especially fast, this maybe the most impressive of all her 1500-mile efforts to date.
Can Tuohy run the mile and 3k double at Nationals - is that possible? People keep saying she’s not a miler but at least as far as the NCAA she most certainly is.

OK so KT split 4:23.36 for 1600m with a running start. So what is that worth for a mile? So let us say it is worth roughly a 4:24.86 mile. Then we have to add something for the running start. Maybe .7 which would give us a 4:25.56 mile compared to her 4:24.26 earlier in an open mile. Maybe it is as good as her 4:24.26 if this track is slower but let us calm down with the hyperbole.
No hyperbole. It is a very impressive time. Factor in that it is a solo effort. That she had to make up a ton of ground. And how it compares historically to other dmr 1600m legs.

She ”had to make up a ton of ground.” You understand that this made her run faster. This incentivized her. Surely you can grasp this. She still did not win so she was likely going all out.

Please. It is very easy to go out too fast to make up a big deficit. She just ran one of the fast dmr 1600m legs of all time. Take it or leave it.
I never said she wasn’t a smart runner. She just did nothing beyond what she has done already. Why do you invest so much in a young female? What is going on here?

all I will say is she drafted 2 runners to the 4:24 mile while this race she was running with a huge gap in front of her from the get go
