I have had bad results with Stryd in general (and I've owned both the original version and the first wind version; decided not to get the third edition).
Outdoors, it would be accurate for some runs, and then start throwing out ridiculous splits (20-30 seconds off either way). On my own treadmill (which I've checked for accuracy by counting belt reps at different speeds) the Stryd would sometimes match the belt speed and my perceived effort, and sometimes be WAY off.
Perhaps it's just my gait; perhaps I had two bum Stryd pods in a row.
I found Stryd's troubleshooting to be less than helpful, because the general theme was "Stryd is right and you and your track and your treadmill are wrong until you prove to us beyond a reasonable doubt that your Stryd is wrong. At that point we will give you complicated instructions for calibrating your Stryd indiviually for each pair of shoes based on a 400m track that you have measured with a wheel, and you running laps with your left foot placed precisely so many centimeters from the rail with each step. And if you're still having issues, it's because you screwed up the calibration."
So I just go with GPS and/or measured distances outside, and my RUNN sensor on the treadmill. They're not perfect, but nothing is. And in my experience, Stryd was very inconsistently and unpredictably imperfect. At least with GPS, I can look at a map after and eyeball whether my GPS was on or off.
