Ratcliffe’s dad is literally a featured endorsement on Jerry’s UO bio page. Boy could start running 20 minute 5ks and will still be allowed to hang around for as long as he wants.
It is about the move to Eugene, not the situation with Shelby. If you talk to people on the team, they tell you that the move was not ideal for most of them. If Shelby was the issue, they would have left a one or two years ago, not now.
Nike has changed as a company. They're no longer being lead by an old guard Nike guy who cares about running, they're being lead by a soulless Wall Street CEO who cares only about profits. As a result, their professional training groups are not receiving the support they once did and are disintegrating. The elite sides of Oregon Track Club and Bowerman Track Club are dead and dying.
Correct, but the CEO is a soulless Silicon Valley CEO and OTC is defunct.

As much as I would like this whole shelby narrative to be true, I am afraid this is the answer.
Fact is, spending money on Track and Field doesn't make business sense. The old guard was passionate about the sport and was able to spend money how the wanted. Now it is purely a business focused on the stock price.
Look at Hayward Field, $270 million just because Phil Knight is passionate about the sport. Doesn't make sense and will never make a dime.
Everyone complains about Nike and them hurting the sport. There is truth to that. But look at all these other shoe companies who give minimal investment. Sponsoring the sport just doesn't make sense for them. Frankly with Nike the last few years were great in many ways. The sport is going to suffer with their reduced investment.

After his incredible breakout season in 2019 I haven’t heard anything about this guy, though it looks like he still improved a bit with BTC. Assuming he’s going back to Powell?
I know I'm getting old but jfc what is with these overproduced videos. Go to Hollywood if you want a film career, otherwise put your blinders on and focus on training.
Thomas Ratcliffe is also on the team still. Moh was training with them in the fall, not sure why he wasn't with them in those photos of their flag workout pretty sure he is still on the team. Not sure about Lopez tho he is getting up there in age so wouldn't be surprised if he moved on or switched to the marathon.
Moh has been in BTC’s Flagstaff training photos in the last couple days, and there was one today of he and Cranny becoming best buds with the Jager baby.
