There are various barefoot running "clubs" on Strava now. I am connected with several barefoot runners myself. It is a real thing. You're not going to hear much about it on sites like this, because the whole fricking running industry is about selling running shoes.
So of course I expect that I will be made to look stupid by the mainstream every chance they get. And to me you're just part of that so although being called insufferable and whatever other insults people want to hurl at us (always online and anonymous) that's fine because you don't get it. But yes, I am a barefoot runner and I'm competitive and I push and challenge myself and I don't avoid competition. I would love to have more barefooters compete with me. I would love for them to outshine me.
