Awesome news if it is true - what a great addition to the NC State team for both track and XC! Hopefully Tyynismaa is eligible right away. That would be a strong DMR with her leading off and Tuohy anchoring.
You people sound like a bunch of 13-yo girls. "Ooooh, did you hear who was talking to who at lunch yesterday? I bet they're secretly a couple!" "Yeah, I hear they sat beside each other on the bus, too!" "So scandalous!"
The fact that you people are going through their social media accounts with a fine-tooth comb goes to show how pathetic your life has become.
Agreed. It is really creepy and weird to obsess over who is following/unfollowing who.
its not that deep, no one would have checked her page if she wasn't in the transfer portal
If this is true... can she compete in indoors for NC state (or wherever she is going)?
Yes, new rules allow 1time transfer without penalty. Winter sports, ie. indoor track, are odd in that they straddle 2 academic semesters (sometimes 3 if a j-term). Several women's basketball players have transferred mid season and played right away.
Depends on what you mean by good. I went right from college baseball into recreational golf. I had decent hand eye coordination. I'd shoot anywhere from 74 to about 84. I played four times a week, so that definitely helped.
Don't play too often anymore. Game has definitely gone to hell in a hand basket.

I don't know enough about how the transfer portal currently works, but could Tyynismaa be in the portal now for an intended transfer after this spring semester? I ask because she graduated high school in 2019, which means that if she is on a schedule to finish her degree in four years, she'd be graduating at the end of this school year. Even for someone who puts a high priority on their sport (and I don't fault athletes at this level for doing so), transferring when you only have one semester left before earning a degree at a given school sounds like it would be a pain. Perhaps she's already on a 9+ semester course plan, or enough credits would transfer that it wouldn't be that big a deal. Still, I wonder if she'd finish the spring at Alabama and then head elsewhere to use her remaining eligibility in the fall.
In any case, I wish all the athletes the best and hope that they're able to find arrangements they're happy with after these mid-year coaching changes.
Amaris very close to graduating, she is Chmiel's year, HS class of '19 and Chmiel already doing masters.
I have no idea if this rumor or speculation is true, but it looks to me like Tyynismaa has 2 more years of XC eligibility (she ran in 2019, 20, 22), 3 years of Indoor ( she ran in 2020, 21) and 2 more years of Outdoor (she ran in 2021 and 22) eligibility
