Hold the Board of Directors accountable.
1. Stop having our biggest meets in the middle of nowhere (Eugene, OR) all the time.
2. Work on a TV deal to have any and all major meets on network TV with a schedule. The more that Track & Field is shown on TV, it will attract more interest in the sport. I have to guess and search to find when and where a meet is being shown. I don't have to do that for football, basketball, baseball and hockey.
3. Get new leadership in USATF.
Give people a reason to join. Like actually holding an adult/open track meet in my state sometime.

Not the USATF's fault, except that it would be good for them to require each state's organization to do something. (Mine holds one or two youth track meets per year and that's it).
1) Javelin for Accuracy
2) Brojos/Galt get a similar ban to Salazar where they are barred from being involved in the sport in any way

I understand your frustration, but I have always wondered why it matters. Do you change your training based on the standards for a certain meet?

How about getting their calender set and announced in a reasonable time. Like when I go to club xc nationals(or any usatf annual event) I should know when and where that event is being held the following year.
And maybe not changing quilfying standards or they way teams are chosen arbitrarily after having already released standards.
Great point. The only thing one might change is when they’d plan to be in prime race shape if the standards prove to be faster than expected. If I think I can make it in sub-peak fitness, I’d plan to peak on championship day versus some meet at UW. But, this only matters for sub-elites.
