Valby looks pretty darn good to be the next NCAA champ.
I think her chances for that are better on the track. She hasn’t been tested (that I’m aware of) on tough, hilly cross country courses. However, being very fit helps one get over hills, too.
I looked at the course map for the NE regional at VCP and noticed that it doesn’t go through the back hills or cemetery. Its just a bunch of loops that is basically the freshman course so whoever is running there got a mostly flat one on deck
