I think she put you in an awkward spot when she asked how much money you made, but at the same time I think it's totally fair and reasonable for women to ask about this because men lie about it all the time to try and impress women. Just be honest. If she asks, just tell her truth. You don't want to build a relationship on lies and deceit.
And when you told her you were a stock broker that sounds like a high income job, so she probably assumed you could afford an expensive meal. Frankly, she did nothing wrong here given the circumstances.
It's made up but you don't think a woman asking a guy how much money he makes and then running up a big tab because she assumes he can afford it is doing something wrong? Asking what he does for a living is fine, asking how much he makes is crass. Ordering modestly while watching what he orders to see what his spending habits are is fine, taking advantage of him to indulge your self entitlement is crass.
