Ummm. While his marathon times sucked, is 4th in the country twice in the 10,000 really sub-elite (2001 and 2003)? Dude was in the lead pac with a mile to go with Culpeper, Meb, and Abdi. And beat Abdi in the race. I'm sorry that's national class. Maybe not world-class.
Paula also recorded two of the highest off-score jumps in 2003 and 2005, and was flagged as "likely doping" in 2012. So I suggest to change "no evidence" to "not enough evidence for a ban".
I agree, I knew the gist of the story but the details of the event are really cool. That’s a big deal for a sub-elite runner.
Good job, Weldon.

I didn’t start watching track and road racing until around 2003, so I never saw Weldon run.
My humble opinion is that a male elite has to beat every female in their specialty. Yeah, I’d call him elite in the 10,000. Didn’t mean any disrespect with that comment.

That would have been funny if it happened. It was probably written into Wejo's contract that he would be expected to 'shield' her from the cameras while she did it.

I think in London that spring she did have to stop and take a pee break.
It wasn't written into my contract but I gladly would have shielded her. Most I ever got paid in running by far. All-in-all a $10,000 day for me. $2,500 starting contract plus bonuses if she got world record and then if I finished.
Ok Wejo. We need an encore. Who's next on your escort list to a record?
Next is his esteemed brother. If Wejo can escort Rojo to a sub 3 marathon they will both deserve black pages and they should be granted 10 whereabouts failures in drug testing.

likely doping says who? extract from The Guardian:
"“This case is a good example, then, of how dangerous it is to insinuate that an athlete has doped based simply on the raw and incomplete data in the leaked database. Ms Radcliffe should never have been forced to come out and defend herself against such insinuations. When all of the necessary information is considered … there are clearly plausible explanations for the values in her profile that are entirely innocent.” UK Anti-Doping backed the IAAF’s stance and said Radcliffe had “no case to answer”. A spokeswoman said: “Ukad has reviewed the data concerning Paula Radcliffe which, upon our request, was shared with us by the IAAF. After careful review, and in consultation with an independent expert, Ukad has come to the same conclusion as the IAAF review that there is no case to answer. The data does not provide any evidence that any anti-doping rule violation proceedings should be brought.”"
"Additionally, the IAAF said it had tested “Ms Radcliffe’s urine samples for EPO, and her blood samples for evidence of blood transfusions, and all of those tests came back negative”.
