So what kind of speed rating does a 9:55 get ? When and where are regionals?
9:55 equates to 163 on the TullyRunners chart.
Note that if you are looking to be a top team at NXN, the 5th man needs to be significantly faster. Here are the speed ratings at NXN for the top 6 teams last year.
NEWBURY PARK 179 PORTLAND 172 HERRIMAN 173 SOUTHERN OREGON 174 AMERICAN FORK 177 TEMECULA 177

A 175 equates to 9:32.9
To clarify, that is the speed rating for the 5th runner on the team
So, 1 guy in the 800, 2 in the 1600, and 2 in the 3200. I think a state record will go down (probably in the 3200), but not confident bc I haven't seen any really good track performances yet this year from them. Seems like some of their guys are MIA? We will see this weekend.

800 guy will score a few points.
3200 should get at least 16 points but I don't think anyone is going to break Robbie LaBlanc's 9:08

Race day. Ready to see those records go down!? It's going to be hot and very humid. I think Jesuits 1600 and 3200 guys have a shot, but I'm not even sure if they have their best guys running in those events (yes, they are all super talented). The 1 entry in the 800 is a 1:56-57 guy. I can't see him doing it Diffy. We'll see
Remember during XC when all the Jesuit fans were saying these boys were going to run between 8:30 and 8:40 for 3200m?? They are literally running a minute slower than that. Pathetic. I knew all that hand waving and skipping Nike was for a reason. They are not that good. The track is a constant and exposes all frauds, not some short, flat southern XC course where it looks good that your whole team runs 15:00.

Well in fairness, the state CC meet was held on a fairly difficult course. What I don't get is why have these boys slowed down so much compared to last years track times? And they are a year older. Congrats on the wins in the 16 and 32.
