I’m assuming that you know that Felix never competed collegiately?
Does not change the facts.
Yes, instead of winning an NCAA title, Felix won her first Olympic medal in the 200 at age 18 and then followed that up with a world championship gold in the 200 at age 19.
On the other hand, Steiner has the better 100-200 times at age 22 than Felix: 10.90 and 21.77 for Steiner compared to 10.93 and 21.93 for Felix.
There are many paths to greatness, and they are both great athletes. Rather than refer to Steiner in Felix terms, how about just let Steiner be herself.
The high light for me in the last World Champs was when I first noticed Steiner would run a leg on our 4x4 team, it was.......YES!!!!!!!!!!!....like out loud.
So you are basically saying that any white that beats a black athlete overcame science
You just denigrated every black athlete and gave them "black privilege" thus their accomplishments are reduced due to simply being born black. Forget the hard work, diet, days in the gym, focus and willingness to be a champ?... because they were black. WELCOME TO THE DEMOCRAT PARTY!!!

100 low 10.7 I don't see it. 200 low 21.6 I don't see it. 400 low 49 Maybe the 400. No non African descent female has approached those times in 100 and 200.
Bro, McLaughlin will be running low 49 in the 400h by next year.

This is a good post and I agree with your thoughts. You then had to add that last sentence.
I’m a democrat so please enlighten me. Political beliefs really are not pertinent to the discussion here.
^ Oh, and FWIW, it’s the DEMOCRATIC Party. There is no such thing as the Democrat Party. Democrats consider themselves to be adherents to the principles of the Democratic Party.

You’re saying you don’t think she can knock off 0.17 in the 200m???!!?

Besides Schippers has run around 21.6.
It would not surprise me in the least to see Abby Steiner take .20 or even a bit more off of her current PR of 21.77. She should be able to make that elusive sub-21.6 group.
We’re forgetting that Steiner is still relatively young at 22 years of age. She can have a fairly long career as a professional track athlete if she chooses to do so.
Consider some of athletes that faster 200 times and their age when the time was run:
FloJo 29, Shericka Jackson 28, ETH 29 & 23, Gabby Thomas 24, Marion Jones 22, Marlene Ottey 31 & 30, Allyson Felix 26, Dafne Schippers 23, Marita Koch 21, Heike Drechsler 21.
Jones, Koch, & Drechsler should probably all be denoted with an asterisk. Jones was proven to be a user of PEDs and Koch & Drechsler were East German athletes during the period of state-sponsored doping. The allegations of doping of the GDR athletes were just that, allegations. In my mind their performances are highly suspicious. There have been allegations against others in the list but nothing proven. All top performers will face allegations now, unfortunately. It just is what it is.
Is she not on a similar age-adjusted track? She's winning national titles. Agreed Felix has an impressive haul that no one has ever matched, but it is unfair to expect anyone to be able to do so.
The most surprising thing is that she seems on a similar track to the US track GOAT
Abby Steiner will be faster than Allyson ever was fairly soon, as her times have been dropping substantially. If she lowers her 100M PB of 9.92, and her 200 PB of 21.77 - it'll be her and Sharicka Jackson racing against sprinting's most famous acronyms SFP and EHT, and hopefully they both heal their nagging injuries.
If Sha'carri gets her 10.62 form back as well, then we'll have the stage set for the greatest era yet in women's sprinting.
