BC Men are fully funded. Not sure where you get your info from.
Just guessing because this seems to be at many of the underachieving D1 programs ….Probably a lot of funding to middle distance chumps, freshman year comes and along with the beer pong tournaments/frat boy conversion and then nowhere to be found? Can’t coach desire
This probably the case …you saw this at UConn for many years
I ran for Watson during his early UVA days. Personally not a fan and was really happy when he left the program (same with Fetzer for that matter).
Incredibly overrated coach with many athletes mistreated (heard stories from athletes at UNC and saw first hand at UVA)... Don't run for him unless you like small teams and high mileage.
The damage has already been done. Whatever advantage BC had due to its' location and eminence as a Catholic University ..... that's gone now..... The XC and TF programs have deteriorated from mediocre to insignificant....The NB indoor track is 2-3 miles from the main campus...no scholarship money for the men's program.... no outdoor track......Why pretend anymore? The program is a joke.... always had been..... always will be...

What are you talking about? UConn was a very successful program, and boasted some of the best middle distance squads of the past 20 years.
UConn would consistently beat Villanova, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Boston College, Rutgers, Pitt, Louisville, Miami, Cincinnati, West Virginia and even Virginia Tech to win Big East Championships.
Then they went out and beat Houston for the AAC championship.

Vig and Watson are at opposite ends of the spectrum in personality and training style, understandable some were upset they weren’t continually coached by the individual that recruited them.
watson cares about his people. He’ll do fine wherever he goes.
Here's a classic high school shot with Kerr and Watson (Also Ultra runner Rob Krar and Ricardo Santos coach in there). Kerr won most of these match ups.

Is that why the Texas team is trashing Watson on social media? And UVA guys tagging on too? Doesn’t seem like he leaves many friends behind.
Kerr needs to move on. Horrible results. When you have 30 guys on your roster and you can’t coach a single one to respectable times at a P5 you have no idea what you’re doing and your system is broken. D2 and D3 programs get better results with less.
Watson, with this same group of guys and zero scholarships, will beat about 4-5 teams in his first year with the Eagles.
Look at some results and give some specifics. Non scholarship athletes 1355 and 1359 recently indoors, 3 all NE region in last fall XC season in Buffalo, history of non-scholarship athletes getting to NCAA XC, all with little to no funding. van der Els was a scholarship athlete, partial, last Distance athlete funded at or near that was Wilson. The distance program was last pick for scholarship funding. Check USATFCCCA regional rankings for T&F for the last 15-20 Years(whenever it started??). Before the current administration pulled the plug on Scholarships and XC, UConn had 20 athletes at NCAA first round/Regional in 2019. Not a terrible program, yes??
