I run in "super shoes" once a week, on average. I have two pairs. A pair for racing which I bought new and use very sparingly (almost never in training), and a pair of second-hand vaporfly which I got at a massively reduced price and are still in good nick.
I'll put the shoes on if I'm going to do a session where the times actually mean something (e.g. the other day I did 2x4K and wanted to hit around 10k pace for the 2nd), or if I fancy a pick-me-up for a progression run or fartlek session on the roads.
I reckon there's something to be said for using them somewhat sparingly, firstly because they cost so much in comparison with normal trainers, but also because I enjoy that feeling on race day of sticking a pair of "special" shoes on and testing myself.
