Oh my goodness what is up with the dumb bro logic on LR anytime Keely loses a championship race
Do people really think Moraa would be racing the 400 and 800 in global meets if she was a biological male? After other DSD athletes have been publicly forced to step up or down from their favored distances?
Moraa is just stronger and faster than Keely, it's that simple. In a more evenly paced race like at Worlds, Keely has the advantage. When Moraa is yo-yoying with the field and it comes down to a test of strength and raw footspeed, well, surprise—the 50s 400m runner WILL always beat the 52s 400m runner.
Keely played right into Moraa's hands by going through that first lap in under 57s—she is never gonna outrun Moraa on that home straight.
Can we get a statement on Moraa's gender? This is so confusing
ALL athletes are tested for their testosterone levels before being able to compete in major championships. If Moraa was male, then Moraa's testosterone level would be too high for her to be allowed to run the 800. She would have to move to the 200 or a distance longer than a mile.
We've been through this a hundred times since 2019 when the rules permanently banned Semenya (and all other biological males) from the 800. How do you not know this?
Mora said in her interview afterwards she was surprised the whole field passed her after her 56 first lap and it was not intentional. She doesn't know what she is doing as she is inexperienced. She has no pace judgement. She will be scarily good when she figures out pacing and tactics properly. Will give Mu a good race. There is no way in an 800 race that someone knows what is going on behind them in any case so Ropa A Dope theories are a load of nonsense in this case.
Keeley ran well. Another 1:57 to back up 1:56 at world's. Hard to do two major champs close together and get both right. She just didn't quite have it in her legs today but still got another medal. Should be exciting at world's next year and the Olympics the year after.

What is confusing? Do you really not understand the current rules that cover 46 XY DSD runners? Or do you not understand that the "eyeball" test for 46 XY DSD is not reliable?
