Why are so many people upset that he's in the final? I watched his interview and he seemed like such an easy guy to root for. He was so excited just to make the final, and he loves the sport. I guess you could be upset that he chose to run for Germany so that he didn't need to run the trials, but he made the final fair and square. He was a decent college runner who grinded for years and made his first World final. Isn't that worth celebrating?
There's so much hate for no reason when TME athletes get something done by the rules. Hunter making his first World's team, winning the 2mile indoor from the B heat, and now Parsons making the world final. If you don't think Drew should have made the 2019 team, take it up with USATF, not an athlete chasing the dream. If you think the heats should have been divided differently, complain to WA, not about an athlete who just made their first global final completely legally.
