You do realize she was born and raised in South Africa, not just choosing to represent RSA for an easier route. If you are going to criticize, at least know what the heck you are talking about.
She seems more concerned with her insta posts. This is what happens when a country selects runners vs earn their way there.
I have to agree, but we are the minority. There was a time when you had to earn the right to represent the USA, now athletes don't even want to represent the country or run slower than possible in order to not get injured for their commercial teams.
Was referring to this - qualifying for the US team is in no way related. But if it did, and Dom were not born and raised in South Africa - Natosha who finished 3rd at the US Trials ran 31:29.8 to make the team, which was a PB until Saturday. Dom has a PB of 31:19.89 - so I don't think it is outrageous to think she could not have fought for a spot on the US team IF she were born/raised in the US and looking to represent the US internationally. BTW it was not that long ago that even US record holders were close to getting lapped on the world stage, so let's just chill a little.
A bit off topic, but they shouldn't allow runners to get lapped in a world championship. They should be pulled off before they get in the way (and yes, they do get in the way, and it's confusing to viewers).
