At his best (e.g. 2018), Korir thrived at both the 400 and 800. Even last year, he ran 45.29 in May
This season, Korir is 83rd in the world in 800m. Not even the best Korir, as Robert Kimutai Korir has run 1:45.52.
The only way Emanuel Korir will make it to the final is if it's a 1:48 heat off a slow first lap. This way he could even win the final. I don't get how he trains though. What is this 44.87 for, if it doesn't translate to 800m? Focus on the 400m then and try to get under 44s.
