How do they beat random testing? If Nike has some evil plan to do so, why was Houlihan caught?
LOL. You do know that over 40% of champion level athletes dope, and only a tiny fraction of the order of 1% gets caught here or there. That's nothing special; for example one can safely use 200 mL blood transfusion and won't even get flagged. Or "micro"dose carefully late at night.
As for Houlihan: either she (or her pharmacist) screwed up the weighing, or she had a testo source that was (un)fortunately contaminated with nandro.
No rational thinking person can look at exception BTC performances and believe they are real.
Sorry to be a cynic.
And if they all lost would you still accuse them of doping? So no other winners in other events that are not from BTC cheat? just BTC? Your logic is mindboggling and you sound like a loser.

iaonvei "there is only one prominent US distance runner to be doping ban right now and she's from BTC, and Cranny has defended her. Yeah. They do it every year. They seem to be in a different league than everyone else. Dopest group in the nation."
I absolutely agree with iaonvei! Cranny is NOT to be trusted as a clean athlete! She runs for a dirty team and she defends a dirty athlete. Why? I don't trust she is clean. She also didn't race the 10,000m at the last minute. Her improvement post college is not believable. I can't root for the Bowerman athletes.
Really? So Mu is clean? Sydney is clean? They all won. If they belonged to BTC would you accuse them of cheating too? Saving this post to be used for a slander lawsuit.
Lol "slander." BTC had a athlete test positive and banned but never disowned her. If she acted alone (which I could have believed), they wouldn't have supported her so vehemently and still have her sticking around their camp.
I enjoy the sport regardless of the doping accusations, but BTC deserves whatever sideeyes they get.
But if she did focus on it I do think she could make the team. But she wouldn't be as impressive as she is in the 5,000 / 10,000. I think she could run 3:58-9, something like that. Her ceiling is much higher in the 5,000 & 10,000.
Perhaps...it's a really hard team to make. I don't really think she's better at 1500 than Schweizer. Purrier is not at 100% and still beat Schweizer, and then the top two are well clear based on superior speed to the BTC crew.
Anyone who says Cranny is suspicious has an agenda other than the facts. Cranny grew up in Niwot, Colorado which has an altitude similar to Boulder. She was a top ranked swimmer and super-star cross country and track star in high school, running a 4:10 1,500M. Her development as a pro is consistent with her past accomplishments.
Interesting birth dates: Cranny, Schweizer and Mary Cain were all born 6 days apart (early May 1996)
Yep. The idea that BTC gets any benefit of the doubt on here is delusional. Schweizer trained with Shelby and was running with her step for step in th AR time trial. Even as cynical as I am for BTC to be essentially doubling down with Schweizer US triple and Cranny's "not feeling herself" bs is truly brazen. They are cheating loudly and proudly and daring people to call it out.

Hope the lawyers are gathering all this information on this thread and others on these posters for their lawsuits. Astro - you realize this can be used against you. Interesting that ROJO condones all this slander here

Stop being so dramatic! This post is obviously speculation. The person is basically saying that they think BTC is cheating based on the Shelby bust and the group's behavior (including performances).

Actually it’s called libel. And it’s real. So anyone who thinks they can get away with it in social media is kidding themselves. By law the definition libel is: a method of defamation expressed by print, writing, pictures, signs, effigies, or any communication embodied in physical form that is injurious to a person's reputation, exposes a person to public hatred, contempt or ridicule, or injures a person in his/her business or profession.
What injury? As long as Nike employs an athlete, and that athlete gets sponsorship opportunities ... then it's not slander or libel because no harm was demostrably done. But whatever scare people on a forum in a niche website!

Well by "focus" I mean actually train for it rather than focusing on the 5/10.
Schweizer is also not focused on the 1500. I do think that Cranny is naturally better than Schweizer at 1500m but neither of them focus on it. Either of them could have made the team this year had they done so -- I think they could be Cory McGee level in the event.
