If you've got check points, it's actually relatively easy to 'play it safe' and still get a q for the top athletes. She needed 6.42 to make the final. That's almost 2.5 feet below her best.
If she was at her best, giving up 5 inches to make sure she was on the board isn't a hard adjustment.
The problem is she wasn't at her best this season and she only competed a handful of times.
Too bad she choked at USAs. That was a nice temper tantrum she threw after fouling her 3rd attempt.
I am loving the fact that you actually watched the jumps. You might want to go to CVS to see if they can help you get all that hatin out of your throat.

There aren't many meets left this year in the US. Is Tara going to compete in some meets in Europe?

Which explains her INDOOR college national record?
Hahaha... on that bouncy azz runway??? Arkansas indoor is the UT and Chula Vista of horizontal jump PR's.
Sorry, again, I'm a fan and respect the ability and personality, but all PR's coming at notorious PR havens isn't helping things.
Keep jumping, keep smiling, and keep dancing. It's all good.
And Tara making the Olympic team and then the Olympic final was a fluke too? Or is every track in the world used for the top meets too bouncy or too windy for you?

Go jump 7.1+ in those finals.
Congrats on your Oly Final, though. I know a thing or two about them, as well.

Literally not one woman jumped 7.1+ at the Tokyo Olympics which means you are impossible to please.
Her college coach knew her steps and would make adjustments. Just because she jump 23 a few times doesn't mean she will do that at all times. Every T&F athlete has a trainer. Sydney McLaughlin improved tremendously when she switched trainers!!!!! Never switch from good to worst!!!!!
