Rojo - when you come to Eugene, do you fly to Portland and then rent a car? This sounds like the same thing. Or do you go to SEA, SFO, ORD or DFW and then book the direct flight to Mahlon Field?
I used to fly to pdx and drive . Now I try to fly to Eugene if I can.
I am pleased to learn that google tells me hitchiking is legal in Australia. I've always wanted to do that as that's how my grandpa used to get to college back in the day, but it seems to be frowned upon on the states nowadays unless you consider using an app some sexist pig in Silicon Valley developed to be the modern day equivalent.
Aussies, do you use the same hand signal people used to use here in the states? Just put your thumb out?

(1) it’s not our job to be Google for uoh
(2) you certainly have enough money to either rent a car or hire a driver for yourself

I was on some travel sites tonight booking a trip to an upcoming wedding. After I was done, I started thinking about World cross in 2023 and wondering "How long would it take to get there and how expensive would it be? I really want to go."
I type in BHS - which I think is the airport code for Bathurst - and don't see any flights from anywhere to that airport. Not even domestic flights. I went to a ton of websites.
What's the story? I saw a website that said Rex offered flights but don't see any from Sydney or Melbourne?
Will World XC be providing a bus? Do we have to take a train?
I'm Aussie. There is a train direct from central station in Sydney to Bathurst. It departs around 7am and takes 3 hours and 30 minutes. It's faster to drive, but just letting you know it is possible to get there if you are adverse to driving on the left side of the road.

WTF are you looking for direct flights to a one horse town over the Blue Mountains? Are you competing with Wigins for the wooden spoon here?
I live in Sydney.
There are flights to Canberra, good grief even international ones. But I would never fly there. It takes me 2:30 to drive, whereas it takes me 45min just to get to airport, another hour to check in and park, board, nearly 1 hour flight (taxi to taxi), get bags, get car, drive to CBD...total probably generously 4.5hrs
