Don't know why you are getting upvotes. It certainly was a tempo workout and not done too hard like you imply. She was just hot because it was hot out.

I don't like the criticism of her, but it's not much different from the negative threads about Seth DeMoor or Nick Symmonds.
I don't believe for a minute they were going 5:30 pace. It looked more like 8:00 pace. GPS on a track? Lol. It's not that hard to calculate. It's something like 8 meters longer per lane out, so if they do 10 laps in lane 7 it'd be 4560. Pretty easy to get exact pace that way.
I like Allie O. sans the nose ring.
Have the users here never heard of hyperbole?
On a positive note, she looks healthier.

My thoughts too. Her Youtube title is obviously a joke or hyperbole, clickbait is totally different. "Death by X" is a pretty common phrase in English, at least here in the US. There is a cake called Death by Chocolate for example.
If you like people who use the word "DEATH" and "video proof" to refer to situations that show nothing of the sort, then you'll dig this video, I guess.
If you don't, maybe because you find clickbait concerning death offensive, then make a mental note to never pay attention to anything by Allie Ostrander again, and don't buy anything she promotes.
Easy peasy.

Well she didn't do that, so your issue seems to be with the OP.
Crazy how good runners make 5:30 /mi look like a casual jog.
Well she used the term "DEATH." I wonder who the anonymous OP is. Everyone has to make their own decision about what to follow or not.
ok doug

Tinges of sexism? Or waves...
And the men on this site wonder why women never want to post here.
This may be the most Letsrun thread I’ve ever seen.

It really looks like they are jogging, and she never looks like she is going quickly until the 400s. 4:58 mile pace makes me think of my struggling to get out the door for the first few miles after a 20M day in the heat and humidity, and yet if I place myself on the track where they're going, they are absolutely zipping by if the times are accurate. I have had this sense on numerous occasions before with workout videos but here they look particularly slow. Also, I'd say that the workout I linked probably predicts a bit slower than I said, if, for instance, the 10:34 was supposed to be 10k pace, it would predict more like 33 (I ran a 3x3200m track workout with a lap jog in roughly 10:45/10:39/10:30 before running 33:38 on the road), but then the speed goes up a lot and she does not appear that tired until the 400s. So, I'd predict more like 32:15-32:30 at that time.

Seems like all the bitter, 26 year old, 135lb, 16:05 posters showed up on this thread and are pretending to not be familiar with how YouTube works.
Is "Almost Died" a new Strava Perceived Exertion category?
How did that activity feel?
Easy --- Moderate --- Max Effort --- ALMOST DIED!!!
That beats watching Seth James Demoor taste test to different brands of mass produced store bought eggs. Just the fried egg whites mind you, he actually left both yolks and decided one egg white was much better than the other.
That took longer than Ms Ostranders video which was pretty good. Short and Sweet. First heat and humidity of the year really suck.
