Checkout Houston's website:
http://www.harra.org/Routes.asp
It has already collected hundreds of running routes from across the globe. 161 in Houston alone. I have used this Google-based tool and found it to be highly inaccurate at times. Most of the maps however at this site are spot on. I'm thinking the routes have been calibrated with a GPS system.
Hey dukerdog.. I am just curious. Do you live in Richmond?
If Everyone one this site mapped their favorite running route.. This would website would be so awesome.
I live about 30 miles outside Richmond.
You do mean Richmond, Michigan, right?
This one might be the same as the one already posted, but if not its a good one if you dont know the distances already. its helped me find runs in nyc.

funny, i just came back from running the lone route listed for san francisco.
now dont everyone start saving a bunch of routes that include less populated, quite roads and trails in SF. we dont need a bunch of tourists flocking to these routes--let them run along the marina and the embarcadero.
I am addicted

Idea - can we get a alums to start posting the standard routes used by their HS/College teams (esp routes with good names). If possible, list the known "best time ever" in the description box. I still like to run my favorite HS team routes when I visit my folks (90 sec/mile slower now) and wonder if some of my times (known bests from the mid 80's) were ever beat.
Mark the routes "ABC HS - Park Hill Route" etc. Idea?
The map has good coverage in England, too. Just drag your way across the pond. You'll be glad to know it gives KM, not just miles.
To anyone wondering how acurate it is, I checked a mile I've run many times with my gps and it seems to be with in about .02 miles
