You have any idea at all how many times sprinters have ran times totally alien to anything previous, that has been going on forever, nothing new or unusual about it at all.
Xavier Carter had never broke 20.00, BOOM 19,63 and I can go on and on and on.....
Michael Johnson had never broke 19.6, BOOM.....19,32.
Ever hear of 100 World Record holders....Roscoe Cook, Oliver Ford, Willie Turner?
These are terrible comparisons. Cook, Ford, and Turner competed over 50 years ago. Johnson had won multiple world championships prior to 1996. Carter was 20 years old when he made his leap, which is expected at that age. Give me an example of a modern day sprinter who dropped nearly a quarter-second from his 100-meter best and who went from also-ran to Olympic champion in one year, in his mid-20s.
I hope Jacobs is clean, but I think it’s reasonable to be highly suspicious of someone who has such a sudden transformation at his age in a sport in which drug use is proven to be common.
