I'm at the gym now and about half of everybody is sporting a mask, N95 in some cases
In Nashville in January during our Omicron surge, about 75% of shoppers were wearing masks and maybe 2-3 at the gym out of 30 or so people. By early February, it was maybe 10% of shoppers and 1-2 at the gym. The people wearing masks now tend to be older women (60+) and tend to look skinny and frail. Totally anecdotal, but nonrandom enough to warrant an observation. ...maybe they have health issues?
Several people I talked to said they thought that they caught Omicron back in January, but they didn't bother to get tested... nor did they self isolate. I noticed people coughing in my gym in late January for the first time in two years.
My point is that I think that pretty much everyone in Nashville has been exposed to Omicron by now.
Where I live, masks have not been required for at least 6 months. People still do wear them at the gym, the store, etc. I don't but I don't really care if people do, it should be personal choice, with or without. It has been researched, though, they are helpful in flu prevention.

And this impacts you exactly how? Jamin, considering some of the nonsense you post here about things you do, you might not be in the best position to pass judgement on others.

A lot of that is habit. When my area dropped the mask requirement, it was about 10 days before I got out of the habit of putting one on in stores, bars, and the gym.
Some of it may also be the location - a gym. Gyms, by their very nature, are place where respiratory infections can spread widely and easily. Gyms are "cesspools" when it comes to infections. Germaphobe types won't even go in gyms. I wouldn't be surprised to see many people wear masks at gyms indefinitely. I'd say my gym is about 10% mask wearers months after the mask requirement was dropped.
And some of it may be situations like mine right now. I was quite happy to stop wearing masks and haven't for months anywhere I go. But at the moment, I have a non-refundable vacation booked for the end of next week to a place that requires a negative Covid test to board the plane. I don't want it ruined, as I will be out thousands $$$$. So I've been really cautious, staying away from people as much as possible, but two days ago, I just felt I had to hit the gym, so I masked up while there. The smarter thing to do would have been to just skip the workout, but I was jonesing, so I went and just put on a mask to minimize risk.
3. You just don’t get sick. Haven’t been sick for 2 years. Normally 2-3 times a year easy.
YES. Haven’t been to the doctor since I put a mask on. Absolutely worth it.
In order to be strong, your immune system needs practice. These masks and vaccines nullify that. People will have defunct and weak immune systems, potentially for some the equivalent of HIV positive individuals. You should take that into consideration instead of drinking the kool-aid from self interested and money motivated big fraudma companies.
Im still double masking. I will never stop. You cannot make me!!
Since the pandemic started I have not gotten the flu. That happened on average once a year going far back. It winds up that people who have the flu (and covid) go to stores and restaurants when they are disease spreaders. They are too selfish to stay home to avoid infecting other people.
So, as many Asians do, I will always wear a mask in public places (I understand why they do that now). Who wants get the flu and end up bed-ridden? Jamin and others seem to prefer getting sick.

I never mask and haven't had a sniffle in ten years. But I also take a lot better care of my fundamental health than 99.9% of the Morans that scuttle about with their little masks and 60' of social distancing. I also have a big schnoz unlike most Asians so the masks fit like crap and are a pain.

oh?! masks are back to working now? Funny it goes between them doing nothing and them killing you.

Your mom has locked you the basement for ten years? . . . #sad.

Anecdotes are nice but they don't mean much.
His "personal" (made-up) experience is meaningless. Just note how many coworkers stay home sick during flu-season. When they return, the usual response is something like, "that flu sucked."
