I don't think he races often enough to put up a bunch of big performances, it's reasonable to think he won't run anything else sub 13 or even another 10k until the US championships. And then medaling at the world championships, that will be very difficult. It's reasonable to think Jakob will run both the 1500 and 5k, I don't know if I'd say Grant will beat Jakob. And then you've got Cheptegei who will still be very tough in both 5k and 10k, Grant probably isn't beating him yet. And then Jacob Kiplimo is a factor who will reasonably beat Grant in the 10k. And then you've got a few other guys in the 5k/10k who could reasonably beat Grant. I'm not saying Grant won't medal, but it's still probably more likely he won't medal than that he will. And in order for this to be considered the best season ever for american distance runner he would have to get a medal that is better than bronze, and probably both medals. I think the odds are against him to do that, but it would be pretty cool if it happened.
