I don't see this . What I saw was a tight knit team supporting each other last night . Especially , those that had a rough outing . Shalane had her record broken , she was the first to give hugs . This is a "team " .
I love what BTC is doing- exciting athletes, actual personable people.
They do chafe some people with the mystery of when and where and who they will race, but when they race, they race; the same cannot be said of other groups.
Poopgate isn't helping their cause though. An elite level training group has to resort to dropping the Browns off at the superbowl behind a high school track? Tough look but desperate times call for desperate measures. We've all been there
Give it up on poopgate. Listen to Fishers half step pod. There he states 1) BTC contacted Sedona HS in December to arrange dates and times for track use. 2) BTC paid for the use of the track. 3) By doing these two things the restrooms were open for their use. 4) BTC used the track after 4:00 PM so as to not interfere with HS sports. 5) BTC was the only professional group to be able to continue use of the track while poopgate was going on because of doing numbers 1 through 4.
Felt this needed to be said again since there is so much childish and false disinformation being circulated.
Back to the topic… BTC is made up of amazing athletes and coaches. They are wonderful human beings who come from different backgrounds and have their own unique stories of how they got to where they are in life. They put in the hard work, have tremendous talent and help each other be the best they can be (true team). They entertain us and give us hope to see fast times and championship medals. So I cheer for them and it is upsetting to me when I read negative posts about BTC’s current athletes.
Thank you to Nike for supporting US track and field by having three teams and sponsoring so many T&F athletes who train with other groups or on their own. Thank you BTC athletes and coaches.
Jerry has built an absolute distance power house at BTC. They've come a very very very long way. Happy to see them mix the old/new pros together, they all have something to adapt towards the team. WC in Oregon will be quite a show.
There's no massive cloud of smoke. When they started bringing in the more sensitive drug tests, you started getting numerous ingestion-related (or possibly ingestion-related) doping positives. They need to re-set the positive threshold to levels that have major biological impact.
No. a) it was synthetic nandro, not natural such as from a boar (which she didn't eat, btw).
b) Such high concentrations were easily detectable some 30 years ago, nothing new there, just another smokescreen from BTC.
c) Also Jager was flagged as the most likely blood doper of them all in 2016, brushed it off as altitude caused (as if...), and then never was the same again after his target-testing started.
d) Plus there is the sad AW - NOP - BTC tradition.
Let's be real honest , Nike has a quality standard looking at athletic ability , non athletic traits like personality , looks , natural work ethic et. Some of the most bitter towards Nike are athletes that had to settle for hoka , brooks , blah blah ..... Plus BTC has a caring group of coaches , that vet personal , knowing they will get along with other , and help others when struggling . A great environment for training and growth.
Ok but WHAT do you all think Grant Fisher can run for the mile right now? He closed his 12:53 in something ridiculous. Anyone else think he could challenge Kerr? Or at least Hoare? I mean he FINISHED with like a 3:58, he’s gotta be able to go 3:48 fresh

Fisher may have no intentions on progressing as a pro in the 1500. Willing to bet , The coaches have mapped out a plan going into this year , and long term 2024 . These Nike elites are looking big picture , where they can compete on a world level. It is like asking Kerr and Hoare how would they do against 26:30 Grant . I loved Cranny's answer , she needs to get in the 29:xx to get a medal. 32:xx are for the hoka women who keep complaining ......
I gave you a thumbs up but we need a mega-thumbs up button that you can only used once a month that is worth 5 as I died laughing when I read this.
I just realized how I'm going to get rich. Like video games, where you can buy tokens and powers, we'll let people buy up votes. Buy 10 upvotes for only $10 per month.
Couple of notes
(1) why do you communicate like this? I had to reread your post several times to even understand what you were saying
(2) you really love the word “as.” What’s up with that?
(3) you won’t get rich from this terrible idea; you’re already rich from your indefinite trust fund

Boo! Get a sense of humor. Aren't you used to Rojo's schtick of hare-brained ideas? This was funny. And LRC is a pretty darn good site with balance of nuttiness and strong, insightful coverage... sometimes right/wrong, but solid.

Runners are a little nutty too, so embrace.
(1) no we are not “used” to Rojo’s posts, hence all the downvotes
(2) bending over backwards to excuse anything and everything Rojo does is lame. Do better
The best training group in the world and it doesn't have a single global gold medal at any distance (Centro wasn't BTC when he won gold). NOP was the greatest by far
