Your not understanding what semihaze is saying or your new to the sport. So many past High School female distance runners who were expected to be the next "Mary Decker " burnt out even before they got to college. Since her freshman year in high school Katelyin Tuohy has been a superstar. Your statement "There are dozens of American women faster than her." which is true has nothing to do with semihaze statment "greatest female high school distance runner of all time who has not burned out like all of the others before her." Runners like Kim Mortensen, Sarah Baxter, Mary Cain, Caitlin Lane had that label of being considered one of the greatest and look how their running careers went after high school.
Semihaze said Katelyn Tuohy was the most popular high school distance runner of this past decade, which was true. Mclaughlin and Mu weren't high school distance runners so their popularity have nothing to do with Tuohy.
