I agree on the first point. As you also obviously also know, it is rare one of these teams just goes out and runs what they add to or can add to in the NCAA meet , (much more likely in trying to Q in the other pre meet races)in this race, the anchor leg often accordions up and becomes a kicking race anyway.
Also agree on that point. No one will get that far away on 12's.
Actually, and I should have known this Voelz has run 1:46 or better , I think 1:45.54? He is listed as a Junior ? This is his 5th year out of HS , he transferred to ND.
He ran a mile in January of '22 in 4:04.x, not what you would have thought?
yea it think ND and Ol Miss are favorites. Just depends who people run and in what events. I can see someone like OSU or Texas sneaking in to win if the top dogs don't run everyone.
Don't sleep on Washington. Kieran Lumb on the 1200, Cass Elliott (Oly Trials qualifier in 400H) on the 400 or 800;; probably Luke Houser in the 800 if Elliott stays at 400; and Brian Fay at 1600. UW has 4 sub-4 milers this season.
Big few days for the DMR with JDL fast-track hosting a DMR meet, and Alex Wilson Invitational tomorrow. I know a few fast teams will be trying to get their nationals qualifier at these meets.
I am suspicious that Lumb is injured, as he isn’t entered this weekend, which definitely hurts Washington.
they will have to go Fay and Hauser on the 12/16 legs, Cass Elliot on the 8 and the freshman sprinter Smith on the 4.
This will push them back into the next tier of quality. They were never beating ND or Ole Miss, but we’re probably competitive with everyone else. Without Lumb they are on the outer fringes of that group
A few? Try about 20 fast teams trying. Some teams at Arkansas also.
Williams college, methinks

I don't think it really hurts them at all.
Fay has run 3:55.14 / 13:24.00
Houser has run 3:56.57 / 7:52.84
They will be fine.

9:24 may not make it to NCAA
Anyone find streaming info for the Alex wilson meet?
On the ladies side at JDL today, VA Tech 11:00 unconverted to win at JDL. WA 11:04.7, NC St 11:05.847, KY 11:05.857. WA, KY, UNC already looked to be in, so this adds VA Tech and NC St.
