Tyra Gittens is one of the alternative legs on the 4X400 at the University of New Mexico Collegiate Classic this weekend. Big for Texas T&F!!!!!

Did she graduate from A&M? If not, ,why did she leave?
How much eligibility does she have left?

Yes, she graduated in December from Texas A&M. I'm not sure how much eligibility she has left.

Whats the link to the heat sheets.
My math says she has indoor and outdoor this year.
Is Woodhall getting worse? Ran a 50 at Millrose and hasn't consistently been running 46 since 2019.
Wow texas women can take indoors for sure, Floreal has really improved texas on both sides. It was always natural to see the women perform well but to have both teams in a position to place is great and worth the recruitment of Floreal.

Hunter Woodhall is distracted from training by all the businesses, sponsorships, real estate investing, and social media he has going on. He's a very busy guy and doing very well for himself off the track. I doubt he will ever get back to the shape he was in before.
Well said quartermiler! Even though I still think Floreal and his staff can do a better job with recruiting elite t&f high schoolers but I think the transfer portal has been a tremendous blessing to Texas.
Elite athletes transferred to Texas:
Chanel Brissett - USC
Kailei Collins - Texas Tech
Stacey Ann Williams - Southern University at New Orleans
Milan Young - LSU
Tyra Gittens - Texas A&M
Men:
Jalil Brewer - Purdue
Charles Brockman - Mississippi State
Brian Herron - USC
Camron Herron - Arizona
Gabriele Montefalcone - Princeton
Marcellus Moore - Purdue
Marvin Morgan - Penn State
Willington Wright - Middle Tennessee State
Your math is correct.
UT is Tennessee. Always has been, always will be.

An experienced, proven, college athlete who transfers to your school is almost always better than recruiting someone from high school who may or may not adapt well to college.
Who would you rather have on your team this year? Chanel Brissett and Tyra Gittens? Or one of the best female freshman hurdlers and one of the best female freshman heptathletes who both just graduated high school 6 months ago? The transfers will almost always score more points for you.
Then next year just go get more transfers.
Floreal and Garnham. Great combination for a heptathlete.
Agreed. They're doing an excellent job with their combined event athletes. I am looking so forward to watch Tyra Gittens and Kristine Blazevica in action this season.
Running in the Dessert- I rather have both the elite high schooler and transfer.
Especially, since Texas is heading into the SEC in the very near future.
Texas has done a fantastic job in recruiting high schoolers for their men's class. Three of the best high school hurdlers and a couple sprinters in the nation have signed with Texas. And Texas has signed a few distance guys who are impressive as well.
She did not end up competing in New Mexico this weekend, although she did make the trip.
She confirmed on Instagram that she has one season of Indoor and Outdoor remaining. My guess is we'll see her competing in a meet or two prior to the Big 12 conference meet, and then hopefully at indoor nationals on March 11. Even if she only competed in the individual high jump and long jump, she has the potential to score 15 points or more for Texas.
