The loans that are in question to being repaid are government issued. Thus the idea of them no longer exists. If you take out private personal loans to fund something on your own that is on your own accord. Did you actually have student loans because it seems you don't have an understanding of how they work. Conservatives always be looking stupid making argument to something that doesn't affect them though.
Found the liberal student loan borrower. You filled out your FAFSA when you applied to state u or mediocre private catholic college and the government stepped in with government subsidized loans where scholarships and grants fell short. You went to college without being able to afford it under the auspices you'd pay back the money you gladly borrowed. As you obtained your credential which suddenly vaulted you up the socioeconomic ladder into an average or upper average white collar salary position, you began to question the loan that you're repaying that's now a major inconvenience to your discretionary expenditures. "Why should I have to pay back the money I borrowed to pay for MY credential which gave ME a competitive advantage in the labor market over those without degrees?" you said to yourself. "Also, why are people criticizing ME for fraud when it doesn't personally impact MY critics?"
