Here’s one such study making that case assuming the metabolic rate theory of aging, namely that metabolic rate reduction causes slower aging, however that causality isn’t known to be true even though there is a fair amount of evidence for correlation of metabolic rate and aging.

PS: Keep in mind that if the metabolic or oxidative stress theories of aging were (causally) true, Trump would’ve been more right than wrong when he said something like he doesn’t exercise because the body only has a limited amount of work capacity, for which he was widely mocked by media. :)
