Lol you could say nay about any athlete that was just at the start of their careers and hadn't had the chance to reach their potential. Sounds like you've got a case of the Nays. You can seek help for that you know haha

Slow Hocker will probably be overtaken in popularity by Saltman soon. And then that guy will get overtaken by the other New Berry Park guys.
Rather, its more like you guys pin all your hopes on one guy and then jump ship soon as theres someone else to hype up who will predictably also not deliver.
America is the G League of distance running.
Out of interest which countries do you have filling spots A-F? Also who is H?
Hocker will never beat Ingebrigtsen, because Jakob is about to move up to 5k and retire right before Hocker reaches his prime.
Also Hocker needs to figure out how to beat Josh Kerr first, since Kerr is both faster at even pace and also in sit and kick kind of race.
Jakob placed first, in an Olympic record 3:28, in his first Olympics.
Jakob is light years ahead of Hocker, and always will be.

Exactly this.
Also Kerr has been in the AIU testing pool for a while now,Hocker has only just entered so expect to see his "strange" improvement stop.
Ha if you read my posts, I was just purely commenting on Hocker, not comparing him to Jakob. 1000% agree that Jakob is light years ahead of him. But I do believe Hocker has some great running future and definitely a sub 3:30
It's a fun time to be a 1500m fan. Cut the annoying tribalism and just enjoy the talents of these various athletes.
Hocker has a bright future. He was a low mileage high school performer and will continue to improve for at least two years.
What is his limiter? We can look historically and guess he will be at slowest a 3:30 guy. I believe he has a 3:29 in him at Monaco.
Kerr, Wrightman, Heyward and a handful of others can dip under 3:30. Filip may get back there still.
Tim is still there, Manangoi will be back to form soon, and Kispang and Mechal will also be under.
Should be a great year!

Lol so over rated you can’t even spell his name right at all.
Let’s say it together: Jakob Ingebrigsten
“Yah-kobb Een-ge-brig-sten”
Let’s get used to saying it because he will be around for a long time.
PS: Good Bait. I Bit.
Im the only one who says his name right around here and people say I do it wrong.
I don't think we can take the Olympic Games 1500m heats as a reference.
Recall that the British Kerr was close to elimination in the first round.
There were a lot of talent that didn't get lucky at Tokyo du to several factors.
But highly experienced runners like Ingerbrigsten always find their ways in this kind of competitions.
Hocker will need to beat Timothy Cheruiyot before thinking about Jacob. Did not peak for indoors or outdoors. Plan all along was the trials and the games.
Listen, bis name is
Cojab Inkerpistol
He is not overrated, especially in anything 1500 to 5000, he is top or probably no worse than top 3. At longer cross country, he can obviously beat the euros but not the best Africans.

Guy wouldn’t even win ncaa’s. But wins some cross country race across the water and is all of a sudden all over running media. Looks like my desk in middle school by the end of school year with all that crap drawn on his arms and legs. Get over the guy already
At age 20 (a true college sophmore age) he runs 3:28 and wins Oly gold making it look easy. Also runs 12:48 and 3:47. How would this not win NCAAs?
Cole Hoka One One is way better than Jakob.

On the chance you don't understand the reference to G League, the G League is something like the minor leagues for the NBA, for guys that either are total unknowns or didn't want to go to college for various reasons, traditionally middle of the pack guys that wanted paid. It is called G League because Gatorade sponsors it. Hence "G League." It wasn't always called that.

Are tattoos like that a Norwegian thing? Ida Elise Broch, the actress in the Norwegian Christmas series now showing on Netflix ("Home for Christmas") has similar tattoos.

If he was born 1991 I would agree, but he was born in 2001. So completely disagree. He just established his baseline.
I would not be surprised if Hocker went 3:27 mid in 2-3 years.
I’m certainly not saying he won’t, but if Hocker goes 3:27 and retains his speed, he’s going to be very very hard to beat at international championships

Good pt, can't every imagine hocker beating tim, because tim almost always runs hard from the gun which would blunt hocker's finish. Then again, i never imagined jacob beating tim either.
