Moderna booster just left me extremely sleepy for 24 hours. But at that 24 hour mark, felt totally fine again. No fevers or aches or anything. Sore arm disappeared in two days. So just an inability to keep my eyes open.

I think everyone should put their age as well. Guys in their 20s usually experience more intense side effects than the over-65 crowd.

I had Moderna. 1st dose, just a sore shoulder. 2nd dose, that plus about a day with unusual fatigue (although no impact on runs). Booster, though, wiped me out for a couple days and I had to cut mileage back a little.
My wife -- a former nurse -- tells me reactions indicate a strong immune response, but she just may be trying to make me feel better.
Ya the whole side effects means it working thing is hog wash. The side effects suck, no need to try and sugar coat. If people didn’t get side effects, would anyone act like that means it doesn’t work? Of course not.
Any ways, 26 and male, no side effects. Arm was hardly even sore. Pfizer for all three doses.

Do you have some links to back this up? Preferably multiple as you mention plenty.

Just don't go around acting superior and shaming/labeling people who don't do the same thing as you. As a non vaxxed person, that's all I ask.
Just because you have an inferiority complex, no need to tell others what to do
Yeah. Don't you dare to tell people not to harrass you over the vax. Who do you think you are? You must have an inferiority complex to do so (WTF? What goes on in the brains of the people who have succumbed to the Fear campaign?).

1 in ~16,000 is not "plenty".

Got the Moderna booster last week (51 year old fit man). Extremely tired for 24 hours after shot. Spent one day mostly in bed. No serious setbacks. Took two days off training and did an interval session 5 days after shot and felt great.

So I'm thinking of drinking the Kool-Aid and getting my booster shot tomorrow. The question is, approximately how long will it take for my training to recover from this? When I got my second dose in April, I felt like crap the next day and didn't run. I felt better 2-3 days afterward, but my running still sucked. Two weeks after that, I mysteriously ran a PR.
Should I expect the same results this time?
I felt like crap the next day and didn't run. I still felt like crap 48 later, but went out for a run to see what would happen. Started to feel slightly better as the run progressed, and I felt great by the end of the seven mile run.
I took the booster the Thursday before I had a race on Sunday. I felt pretty bad on Friday and still was tired on Saturday. Sunday morning I felt okay so I thought I'd be fine. There was a 10 mile and a 5k course that started at the same time. Had planned to try to run the 10 mile at ~5:40 pace. Went out in 5:35 and felt like I was going to fall apart and decided to just do the 5k. Ended up phoning it in running a couple 6 min miles. Rest of the week was okay but not great. Had a small workout later in the week and did an easy long run. Two weeks later I'm definitely more fit than I was pre booster. Just had to get through the feeling like crap for a bit. Workouts going well. Definitely will interrupt you for a few days but just keep running through it the following days even when you aren't feeling 100% and you'll come out the other end fine. I definitely would plan your races around the booster though it's no joke!

Wading into a discussion amongst people who are so health-conscious they're talking about training and boosters, to declare that you're an anti-vaxxer, is fully deserving of shame and labels.
Just got Moderna booster after Pfizer initial course. The second Pfizer shot beat me up good - felt bad for over 24 hours.
With the Moderna booster, I didn't feel quite as bad, but still bad for about 24 hours. But the arm soreness is actually worse. It still hurts almost 48 hours later.
I've had two days off running (which I hate) but I'm about to head out and see how it is with my achy arm.

I don't have an inferiority complex because those vaxxed who do act superior are living a lie. They are in fact not superior. Acting and actually being superior are two different things. But I can acknowledge I do see sheep projecting an inferiority complex whenever I flex, which is primarily due to their animosity and stupidity. If they could mind their own business, which they can't because their lives are mundane, then i wouldn't have to flex on them.
I've never met an intelligent person who used the word sheep. But I think you are intelligent, so you should drop it so people don't immediately tune you out.
Anyway, honest advice, drop the tribalism and you will be much less triggered by the comments of others!
Over 800k adverse events and 18,000 deaths recorded in the VAERS database.
I'm a 41 female with an autoimmune disease and a history of other health problems (thyroid cancer, hypothyroidism, and anemia, but almost healthy now), mostly due Hashimoto's - my immune system attacked my thyroid, and there were problems.
I had my third dose of Pfizer last Tuesday (Nov 16), and I ran a 16 mile long run on Saturday (Nov 20), running it the fastest I've ever run 16 miles. I don't think the vaccine gave me superpowers, but it certainly didn't slow me down (4 days later) either.
Side effects from the third dose (and again, I'm someone whose immune system really loves to rise to the challenge, with my own body, with any sort of pollen I inhale, with vaccines, you name it): I had the flu vaccine and Pfizer booster at the same time. I've never had any reaction to flu vaccine except arm soreness, and my flu shoulder was sore about 2 hours after injection, that went away the same day. My covid shoulder took over with soreness about 5-6 hours after the shot, and that lasted until about 24 hours later. I went running 1 hour after the shots, and towards the end of that run (2 hours after) I was starting to feel dizzy. I think chills started maybe 3-4 hours after the shots, and lasted about 24-36 hours. I also had off and on headaches, fatigue, nausea, and dizziness the first couple of days. I went running the day after the vaccines, and I didn't feel great, and I felt more tired than normal on the run. The biggest booster symptom by far was swollen axillary (underarm) lymph nodes, that started around 24 hours later and are still quite swollen 7 days later. (Only the covid arm.) I didn't notice swelling with the 1st or 2nd dose. Apparently it's a common side effect.
All of that pales in comparison to what my life was like with anemia and hypothyroidism, and I'd gladly take a few days of feeling like crap than put myself back in the position of being really, truly sick and not knowing if I'd ever get better. Both hypothyroidism and anemia lead to less oxygen getting to places that need it like the brain, and covid can cause similar lack of oxygen to the brain. Chronic illness that makes you feel like crap all the time is not something I want for myself. It's not fun, and I don't want to experience that again, ever.
Everyone's body is different. My brother had Pfizer for the first two doses and a Moderna booster, and he took off work for two days because he was so sick. I have many health concerns that would be exacerbated if I were to get covid and get really sick, so I made the decision to get the booster. Do what you feel is right. I put a lot of thought into whether I should get the vaccine, but ultimately decided that a robust response to the vaccine is better than getting covid (for me).
