2:30 is about a 1:55. Maybe a little faster if you're an 800 guy and maybe a little slower if you are a miler. IAAF scoring tables have 2:30.00 at 922 points, same as 1:55.65.
You would expect most MD guys at a bigger D1 program to be able to run 1:55.
I'd expect most 5K and 10K guys at a bigger D1 program to be able to run 1:55.
