As for the women, on paper, Helen Tola was the best and she would up third.
In a race with stronger Ethiopians and stronger Kenyans as well, even given the conditions (weather), they'd have run 2:03 or better.
You don’t know what you are talking about. You have no idea about exercise physiology. Weather/pacing cost them minimum 2 minutes. Even if conditions were perfect and pacing was smarter 2:03:30 is the best case scenario on a winning time that day
