Have you heard of interviews? Funny thing, they actually can tell you what athletes think/feel about things.
But then again, dont let me ruin your daily rage because you cant find anything to support your doping claims.

I really wish we could have some threads that focuses on the topic of the thread.
I started this to discuss the contract extension and what that meant.
There are plenty of threads where the topic is doping, the crazies can comment on those.

True, would have been nice to have Warholm and Jakob with the same brand for Norway's federation
Puma's seem to work for Warholm, any distance elites that also wears Pumas?
Is that why Warholm competes in a the Norwegian national team kit in non national team competitions?
Sorry, couldnt help myself reacting too the allegations...
But regarding the contract, we dont know whats actually IN the contract. But from what we know from the previous deal, the whole family is doing this as a team, so even though Jakob is now the golden goose, the others also benefit from the deal. Read somewhere that Puma wanted to "steal" them from Nike and offered 4M a year - and Nike then offering the same to keep them. But no idea if this is true.
Yes, Charlatan in this thread seems to have some inside info.
I do agree though. While each Ingebritsen has their own Nike contract, I am sure the others benefit from being related to Jakob.

Jakob is clean and would rather quit than winning by cheating. And that is something everybody that loves the sport should appreciate.

It's clear, concise, and exact. You can speculate all you want and think what you want, in the end, this sums it up perfectly. The only thing anyone can do is try to apply some logic and probabilities. In this case, you need to look at the body of work over the past few years or so. What is the progression, how extreme are the improvements, are times "out of nowhere" and unexpected? Is the athlete accessible, the training group? the coach?. For instance, Katir raises a lot of red flags. Huge PR's over a short period of time out of nowhere. Again, it's only speculation without evidence and a positive test but suspicious nonetheless. This is not the case with Jakob. You see the progression over the past 4-5 years. The times he's running are consistent across the board from 1500 to 5000m. His running form is PERFECT, has no wasted motion, and is super-efficient. He doesn't seem to "kick", he steadily accelerates throughout the race. His training is transparent, his training partners, his coach (dad), everything is out for all to see.
It's safe to say that this dude is the "Real Deal", and there's no reason to think otherwise. Looking at his progression you're going to see the 1500m, Mile, 3000m, 5000m, and 10,000m WR's come under assault within the next 4-5 years by him. Not to mention the multitude of global championships he's going to win.
So until you have evidence and or proof of any wrongdoing, sit back and enjoy the show. Don't forget, "You ain't cheatin' til you get caught".
Team INgebrigtsen always swagged out in the nicest Nike gear on their show. Puma can't compete with that.
Anybody know Henrik's latest status? must be banged up, as he typically is. Wonder if he is getting close to calling it a career.

Anyone venture the 5 or 6 super-contract athletes or "must-see" TV athletes??? I know Sha'Carri is controversial, but I have seen data on engagement that is worthy of those equal on list -
Sydney McLaughlin (USA)
Karson Warholm (NOR)
Mondo Duplantis (SWE)
Jakob Ingrebrigsten (NOR)
Sha'Carri Richardson (USA)
Athing Mu (USA)
Eliud Kipchoge (KEN)
Of note:
Elaine Thompson-Herah (JAM), Shelly-Ann Fraser Price (JAM), Ryan Crouser (USA), Grant Holloway (USA), Noah Lyles (USA), Yulimar Rojas (VEN), Joshua Cheptegei (UGA), Rai Benjamin (USA), Andre De Grasse (CAN)
De Grasse is very well known, probably more than Mondo, Warholm and Mu because of the Viral Rio 2016 pic with Bolt.
I'd say the top 5 highest paid athletes, in order, are:
McLaughlin
Jakob
Kipchoge
Warholm
DeGrasse
I'd say the athletes are andre degrasse, elaine Thompson, Athing Mu, ingebregsten, cheptegei and McLaughlin.
Warholm, knighton, and shacarri are also possibilities, I doubt any field athletes would be in that list just because of the events popularity. Eluid kipchoge and shelly are about to retire so they wouldn't be on the list either.

Based on current contracts.
After they sign there next contract I think it will be
Degrasse
Jakob
Elaine Thompson
McLaughlin
Warholm
it is tough to say how these athletes are paid relative to their peers. Runners like Jakob, Warholm, and DUplantis are at the highest level of fame in their countries, and possibly surrounding countries. Of course, their countries are the size of one US state.
I wonder how closely pay is related to things like Instagram followers. It is probably the most accurate indicator of popularity, right?

Well that settles it then. Jakob is clean. No need for any further testing of him. He is clean. We get it. He will be breaking world records, as you said, and be clean. Thank you for your service.
It is interesting to look at instagram followers for track athletes.
Felix and Syd: around 1 million
ShaCarri: over 2 million
Jakob, Degrasse, Elaine Thompson Herah: around 350k
Warholm: over 250k
Philip and Henrik: around 140k
Centro: 100k
Jenny SImpson: 100k
Emma Coburn: 550k
Duplantis also around 350k
I would think Kipchoge is #1.
He has more IG followers than all of those and has made headlines for a while.
Not just at Olympics but every time he runs a major plus the sub two events.
The others on the list are only relevant during Olympics or world champs.
Kipchoge: 1.5 million followers
Bekele: 150k
Guessing it is like an NBA supermax....$50M/year or so.
After doing research looking at estimations and previous contracts
I'd say degrasse made 4.5 million this year, warholm made close to 4 million , Sydney made 3.5 million, jakob made 1.5-2 million and kipchoge made 1.5 if I had to guess. Kipchoge is very dominant but marathoners may not be as marketable.
Typically the best sprinters in the world will make more than other events. Any athlete can get a pretty large amount off money if the dominate though.

It's not quite right to say we are speculating "without evidence." As you point out, we have plenty of evidence such as the evolution of times, etc. We just don't the sort of evidence the authorities need to ban someone.
