Very unprofessional. You wouldn't catch Kipchoge running a "charity chase".
What's up with Fauble? Is he coming off an injury?

Ya, what an absolute monster. She is donating $ 1 to every runner she passes to a charity in our town that is drastically underfunded. I don’t know how she sleeps at night!
Good on you Molly😀

No, he just trains with NAZ Elite. You can expect poor performances from them.

Actually, VERY professional, getting some community exposure after her Olympic triumph.

Wow, I can't even imagine... a Mom, a MF Mom... Jesus Christ in a chicken basket... she's a mom ;-)
There was a rumor floating around during the Olympics that Allyson Felix is a mom. Can anyone confirm?

Pacing herself. I predict Top 250 among all women finishers.
I'm guessing you're all just joking around? I hope!
She started last and $1 for every runner she passes is donated to some charity.
So, why is this race 7 miles?

Are you like the attorney who knows the answer before asking the question? I’m guessing you are!
I will let somebody else answer.
How hard is it to get into Falmouth? Someone told me it is VERY difficult to get accepted into the field. This is one of those races that I would like to do at least once in my life.

NOPE! I honestly don't know the answer.

Because it started in 1973, I’m guessing that also it wasn’t yet common to create 10k races, so maybe they didn’t think twice about if 7 miles was a good distance. I think they were just lucky that it was 7.0 miles and not 7.363 or 6.889 or whatever. There really isn’t any other reasonable route that goes along the shore from bar to bar, even if they had wanted to make it a different distance.

For a while it was called a 7.1 mile race. It may have been adjusted to 7.0 miles to make it a round number, or maybe there was some distance altering construction along the route, or maybe they just measured it more accurately and found it was a bit shorter

Thanks for that info! I was thinking it used to be longer than 7, but didn’t trust my memory. Based on your comment about 7.1, I’m thinking maybe the finish line used to be at the actual bar, which I believe was a little bit father than the current finish line. So maybe the finish line was moved back to make it exactly 7, or to make the logistics better. I don’t think there could have been any construction/road changes.
