As someone who runs distance in Central Florida, I can’t wait to see these elites share in my misery.

Gonna be a hot one, but they've known that for a while. Lots of ugly arm motions.

I just came in from a planned 5 miler here in S.W. Fl. Dewpoint same as every day at 76, but could only manage 4 and finished up indoors on the treadmill. Easy run pace for me is 125 BPM. At the end of my v easy 4 miles just now, I was at 145BPM.
Seidel, Salpeter, & the 3 Kenyans all up front.
Just tuned in, looks like they are running in a huge pack like 10 next to each other? Pace that slow?
Is Tuliamuk not going with the leaders?
just saw last water stop... never seen anything like it.. women taking off and on hats and bandanas.. putting ice bags underneath them.. Kenyans sharing cooling towels... unreal stuff. Gotta be tough. I wonder if with all of that some may end up not drinking enough at each station?
Ugh…come on Molly, you need to stop missing the water stations….
I cannot imagine running a marathon in this heat, much less trying to RACE a marathon in those conditions.
27 minutes in the women’s marathon and there has already been more commercials than the 4 hour 50K race walk yesterday, and the commentary was more interesting than the women’s marathon coverage!
The Swiss and one of the Germans are wearing arm sleeves, can those have a cooling effect?
5 miles in 29:35 about 5:55 mile pace
Good strategy by Salpeter, throw ice bag on floor to take out competitor ankles
c ant find aliphine or sally, are they in the main pack?
Again, they needed those generic water tables on BOTH sides of the course, at least for first 5 or 10 miles until things string out.
Yes, they don't need to be insulating. You could put cold water on them or ice in them.
