Yes u r spot on KH...
This is embarrassing. Cooper was 10 (?) seconds behind. Why are you all lobbying for him to get demolished in Tokyo?
During this break, they played the 5000m final. After it was over and the interviews were over, the announcers were back to being live on air. They said that "multiple protests had been filed" but that "nothing came of them." So case is closed.
It was worthy of a protest, but im not shocked they didn't DQ Chelimo. He drifted a lot, but he did it in a fairly straight line. He didn't egregiousy impede fisher or Kincaid, there wasn't any contact or sudden move, just a long slow drift, they could have easily gone around either side if they had the strength.
Tbey didn't say who the "multiple" protests were from, but I would assume was from the Oregon camp. I probably would have filed one if I were Teare's coach.
Thank u..like i said 10hrs sgo
There should be a rule that you can only file a protest if you were directly impacted by the infraction. So in this case Kincaid or Fisher could file and no one else. It is idiotic that people file protest to try to advantage their well beaten athletes.
Chelimo helped Cooper. Cooper had a straight line, unimpeded lane 1. Had Cooper slid into third with Kincaid getting 4th because of the drift, then the Kincaid camp might have a case.
Teare barely beat an 18 year old and was housed by the top 3. He was never in contention for top 3. Stop crying and run faster. That's the easiest way to win, just run faster

+1
Coopers turnover is not sufficient to contend in a fast closing championship style race. It just isn’t. Yes I know he ran a 3:50 time trial indoors.
