The peak of Jerry's own running career so in the early 90s? So an anonymous person says that 30 years ago they had one conversation involving nandrolone with Jerry Schumacher?
Forgive me for not finding this to be overly compelling evidence. I don't remember half the junk I did fifteen years ago let alone 30.
Over under that the original poster is even over 25?

I have personally talked about Baumann’s, who is the fastest non African 5000m runner and Olympic 5000m gold medalist, nandrolone bust and the toothpaste excuse he used with Schumacher. This happened at the peak of Shumacher’s own running career and he knew everything about it. Him saying he has never heard of nandrolone is a flat out lie!
This doesn't mean he remembers the name of the actual drug. Duh.
Forget about any associations with Schumacher's competitive career.
Schumacher is the head coach of arguably the highest profile distance running group in the country, with the most resources of any group likely in the world.
He also has an assortment of athletes (Jager in particular) who are known to be under doping suspicion based on the leaked documents years ago.
For him to state he has no idea what Nandrolone is would imply that...
1) He lacked knowledge of what Dieter Baumann, the 1988 Silver Medalist and 1992 Gold Medalist in the primary event Schumacher coaches, was charged for.
2) He is doing an utterly terrible job of ensuring his athletes don't arbitrarily test positive.
Seriously. Excuses for drug busts (some of which have been accepted) have included things like Baumann claiming toothpaste, Johnson claiming energy drinks, LaShawn Merritt claiming the drugs were coming from ExtenZe, and Wilson claiming drugs were coming from tainted meat. You even have public knowledge of Salazar blabbering on about how someone could sabotage Rupp by rubbing Testosterone cream on him, and Justin Gatlin ACTUALLY using the excuse of someone rubbing Testosterone cream on him.
Some bozos will always defend him by saying "well gee, since BTC doesn't use drugs, why would they ever bother looking into these things?"
Don't forget, the banned substance list at one point had CAFFEINE added to it. Athletes could get busts for common household foods or medicines with the massive assortment of substances considered to be banned.
With ALL of this, you think Schumacher never even bothered looking into how to keep his athletes from these random sources of banned substances showing up in their systems?? Or that he never bothered looking into a list of banned substances at all?
He's either a liar or an incompetent coach of the highest order if this is the case.
