A few facts. 1) Japan has less Covid deaths per capita (currently last 7 day average) than the US
2) Japan has less Covid cases per capita (last 7 day average) than the US
Yet everything in the US is heading back to normal. It's a) seems more about mindset and b) your frame of reference.
Does Japan have less hospitals than the US or are we just hearing the horror stories from the media?
They're not postponing the Olympics again. Just not going to happen. Cancellation would be the option at this point.
But cases are starting to drop in Japan. So hopefully in 2 weeks the doom and gloom is over.
The US state department sure didn't help yesterday but all of Europe except for the UK is in the same category as Japan and people are planning European vacations right now.
Just need a little perspective.
