If I were a Canadian Olympic Team member I might take issue with that, it's not my responsibility to promote some cause or ideology.
I am at the Olympics because I am a good athlete and my beliefs are secondary to my athletic performance, what matters is I'm at the Olympics, not pushing the pride symbol.
I might wear because it doesn't bother me too much but I still think it's dumb for the government or whoever designed them to put on symbols of causes athletes did not ask for.
I have two questions:
First, you think the government designs the olympic team gear? Which agency would handle that?
Second, I looked for a solid minute and cannot find anything resembling the gay pride symbol in any of the photos, do you see it somewhere else?
