Real fans would rather see them with Team Julian so that they actually get to race against the world’s best instead of just running a bunch of team time trials.

1. I still believe BTC is doping

1) and you are still completely clueless. You know only what you read on this trashy forum from other poorly educated posters that don’t know anything more than you about elite athletics. You feed off each other’s poorly educated opinions that are stated as fact. I have a feeling that you might even still be in high school. Realize that accusations you make are directed towards actual people with actual jobs in the profession. You’ve certainly not spent any time with athletes that you are casually accusing as being unethical and cheaters, nor have you likely even met them. I would be very careful in your accusations going forward, especially with the increasing rumours that certain groups are organizing a push to begin to pursue accusations such as yours from a legal standpoint.
2) they won’t go to BTC.
Yikes. I’ve actually been a believer that BTC was a bunch of dopers for a few years, well before I got onto Letsrun.

Did you time trial today?
Got to the track and it was 35 degrees, raining and windy. I tried warming up and was soaked and freezing so I called it. I got a good session in on the treadmill though so it’s not all negative.
Next Saturday is looking good tho. Like really good. 50 degrees with a maximum of 5mph wind. Should be the day I join the sub 9:40 club. I’ll keep y’all posted.
good call.

Julien is definitely a better fit for these guys from an outside perspective. BTC is an extremely high volume strength based program while Julien and what Salazar was doing is still high volume, but much more speed based. Ben Thomas is a speed based coached. Easier transition for them.
Why would they even want to change coaches? I agree with one of the posters above me, they should stick with Thomas as he’s obviously working wonders for them right now.

I heard they are in talks with Tinman Elite and Wesfly.
Who in the heck cares?
They can sign with Bowerman's club or not.
I don't understand runners and never did. I was actually a member of San Diego Track Club for 2 years and improved my times. Where i was disillusioned was how needy many were for a brotherhood. Run your practice, meet for drinks..etc.
Teare, Hocker, Grijalva, Young, Hasty, Silva, Centrowitz, Hunter, etc etc.
Why does it matter what club they join or why?
I swear that runners need teams more than anyone else. And it is pathetic.
Timewise, they may dominate, but lifewise, they are just timid cheerleaders.
Running is about times. Who cares about friendship?

Damn you must be fun at parties.
I'm almost 47. I haven't been to a "party" in almost 25 years. I don't need to be fun. I only need to be real.

Honestly, no. The group I mentioned has potential...we'll see how they place. My fight is reserved for letsrunners because they talk big but usually about PAST times. Most aren't as good now as they claim now for how they were then.

Somehow I feel like I probably could’ve guessed that.

I think Ben Thomas should start his own pro group with Hocker/Teare/Hunter.
Those three plus James West, Reed Brown (should be good enough to go pro when it’s all said and done) and Thomas already coaches Neil Gourley professional. Pretty sick group

Uhh. Most other sports have the team aspect built in.
A lot of runners do their runs completely by themselves. And I’d say, workout session for workout session, runners have the least contact with “teammates”.
This wasn’t a good post.

Also had a freshman run 3:59 & a sophomore run 1:47 this indoor season. Unheralded of course because the other guys are so badass. But they could also go pro at some point.

They could join Wesfly. I’m sure the CEO would be so insanely happy that he wouldn’t care who coached them.
