nike doesn’t GOF about bolts records. it’s obvious the spike didn’t perform well.

Kinda funny to watch a bunch of distance people fumble around talking about sprinting. Fish outta water, guys.

That is the case in every event and always has been, better shoes will produce faster times over inferior shoes, my guess is Usain Bolt had shoes superior to Jesse Owens and Owens could have run faster if he had Bolt's more advanced shoes.
That said if races were run barefoot, no one in History could beat a prime Bolt at 100 and/or 200 Meters. Bolt was a Genetic Marvel, a Freak of Nature. Yet at some point in the distant future his records will go as well due to EVOLUTION every generation improves over the one before it overall, Records can last for 50 years as there are always people ahead of their time, but as a group The Human Species gets Bigger, Stronger and Faster (There are Exceptions/Outliers) but look at the times from the first Modern Olympics in 1896 versus now.
My friend this is not how evolution works. Not only does evolution require tens of thousands of years, it would also need a survival or reproductive factor in which top athletes either live dramatically longer or reproduce dramatically more than the rest of the population. Improvement over generations is due entirely to the growing talent pool, both as population grows and as the popularity and participation of the sport goes, and due to better training methods, professionalism, where top athletes can devote all time and energy to training and lastly, better equipment. Absolutely zero percent of improvement in times is due to evolution. In fact the talent of human distance running is the same now as it was when Jesus was alive believe it or not. And if it were different, we would be ever so marginally slower than the humans of Jesus’ time.
Thank you! No offense to douglas burke, but his understanding of evolution is so wrong it hurts.
Bruh if that shoe is that fast give it to Bolt now and see what happens.
+1. This is a great idea. Also, have those pacing lights for sprints too.
I definitely agree and they would have been so expensive making if unfair in a race if one person is wearing them and another person isn't because it is supposed to make them faster.
These shoes are a complete joke. No way should these things be legal. Keep Track Sacred.
Just don't do it.
I think this is most likely. Even if they are currently legal, if you push the envelope to much you create a motivation for more restrictive rules. They probably decided it's better to work within the status quo.

That's not how evolution works. Improvements in performance are largely due to advances in training, nutrition and gear, as well as more of the population having access to sports.
This is funny! Let's play N.B.A games with a peach basket and no shot clock smh. Every sport improves the equipment to evolve the sport..oh accept track and field smh.

Do you draw any line in the type of technology that can be used in racing? A metal rim and a timer has been around for many many many decades. Name a sport that doesn't have any standardization on their primary equipment.
People mistake Bolt's size as having equal genetic gifts when he was just as statistically impossible as the rest of those around him busted. He was just far more protected/shielded.

Agreed but I'd sell it for $10,000 a pair.
Seriously. Beat Bolt's record? $10,000 seems cheap. Unlike distance running sprinters actually make money.

It doesn’t look that much different than the Victory distance spike. I guess nobody cared about Bekele’s legacy.

Bolt ran for Puma?
Wouldn't Nike do everything in its infinite power to have an athlete faster than Bolt?
In reality Nike doesn't want to produce a super-spike that can't beat Bolt's records in old tech Puma spikes.
You do realize the only reason Bolt and other athletes were shattering records is because of the technology in the tracks themselves and better knowledge of the human body. Jesse Owens ran on tracks made with cinder. Give him today's tech (hell even cleats from the 80s) and these super tracks to run on and then let's talk.
