Just going to spam my prediction that KB will not finish London, let alone cause it to be a good race.

note that the clip shows Bekele at the back and does a slo-mo of him in the first clip but in the second he's right near front of the pack..
not that these mean much as shows a few seconds of a workout without any context
Back in my college days we'd routinely have the fastest guys start a rep last in an effort to have everyone finishing around the same time. Not saying that's what's going on here, but Bekele's body looks fine in the video and add one more to the column of "we have no context here." Interesting to see Bekele's weight fluctuate depending on the season and timing of training though; I think it's good to see that even the elites deal with this.

We shouldn’t be talking about people’s bodies.
If the subject of the thread is female, it would already already been removed.

Seriously, when was the last time Bekele has put together two consecutive good races, especially two good marathons? I’d love to see him run well, but I think history says dnf.
Bekele has never run two consecutive good marathons. The only reason he ran well in his last one was his coach forced him to move to Europe where he could supervise his training personally.
The only reason he ran so well is because he is the greatest. He just went to the Netherlands to correct what was causing his injuries. He went back to Ethiopia to train afterwards for Berlin last year. He didn't do much running in the Netherlands, only base building miles from scratch. He has a good base off his epic half thon in March where Mo Farah ran away in fear and he oblitered the field and smashed the course record with ease. Now if you look at March 2019 which is before his epic run in Berlin, he wasn't even able to run at that stage. He is clearly is better shape this year now

Disappointing, but not that unexpected. If he bombs out at London, it's probably time for him to retire.
This is the reason I'm not all the hyped for this showdown. Bekele is a wildcard. It's more likely than not that he bombs. Remember in 2018 when we has this exact same match up, and Bekele wasn't even a factor? He doesn't have the mental fortitude of Kipchoge.

Also during Bekele's epic 5,000m gold in Beijing the commentator was talking about how his brother Tariku regularly "beats" him in training. Bekele is happy for people to run faster than him in training, and he was the same back in his golden track days.
Let me tell you a story, Letsrun. There was a sculptor. He found this stone, a special stone. He dragged it home and he worked on it for months until he finally finished it. When he was ready he showed it to his friends. They said he had created a great masterpiece, but the sculptor said he hadn't created anything. The statue was always there, he just chipped away the rough edges. Bekele is chipping away his rough edges. Then he is coming for London.
He will now ramp up the EPO dosage and be good for a 201 next marathon.
